Trongsa Dzong

This is the largest dzong fortress located in Trongsa district of Bhutan. It was enlarged several times during 18th century. Trongsa fort is a major monastic complex with around 200 monks. Trongsa means the new village which comprises retreats, temples and hermitages of monks. Tame amusement five-day long festival Trongsa tsechu held in northern courtyard of temple.
